Water for Our Future: Panel Addresses Questions and Concerns

Water for Our Future: Panel Addresses Questions and Concerns

Sep 8 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

In the face of drought and rapid population growth, how can we ensure a sustainable water supply? What is the best way to protect domestic wells and the base flow of the Verde River?

A panel of experts from the Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) will address the many issues that impact these important questions on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Among the topics to be discussed are key water concerns in Legislative District 1 and some legislative options for protecting our groundwater, domestic wells, and the base flow of the Verde River.

The panel will provide CWAG’s answers to the five questions discussed at CWAG’s Aug. 4 Legislative District 1 candidate forum, address questions asked by the forum audience, and answer your water questions. Read the forum questions at www.cwagaz.org and watch the forum video at http://cwagaz.org/videos. Bring your water questions to the Sept. 8 meeting or submit them in advance to info@cwagaz.org.

Panel members are CWAG President Gary Beverly, Ph.D., CWAG Science Committee Chair and hydrogeologist Peter Kroopnick, Ph.D., and CWAG Education Committee Chair and retired geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, Ed Wolfe, Ph.D.
