River Run Network Restoration Workshop: Horseshoe Bosque Round Two

River Run Network Restoration Workshop: Horseshoe Bosque Round Two

Nov 20 2021 - 8:00am
Join James Lauder, WMG Project Manager for a second restoration workshop in this area of Cienega Creek. You’ll be helping to modify existing structures to enhance restoration of the creek and riparian areas. The Horseshoe Bosque area is along Cienega Creek in Pima County's Cienega Creek Natural Preserve near Vail. As a wildlife and riparian preserve the Cienega Preserve is home to an astonishing array of plants and animals, including numerous bat-roosts (cave myotis, Mexican long-tongued bat, Townsend's big-eared bat and canyon bats.

This event is organized through WMG’s River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and gives you access to a variety of virtual, dispersed, and physically distanced events including creek walks, restoration activities, river clean-ups, and educational workshops.

This restoration project is made possible thanks to grant funding through Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
