4th Annual Tanque Verde Flow and Feast

4th Annual Tanque Verde Flow and Feast

Apr 27 2019 - 5:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us for WMG’s 4th Annual Tanque Verde Flow and Feast at Isabella Lee Nature Preserve. This free, family-friendly event features creek walks, a catered dinner with local flavors, craft beer and wine, live music, and star gazing.

Like many creeks and rivers in the Tucson region, this sensitive riparian area once flowed for most of the year. But today, due to heavy groundwater pumping, Tanque Verde Creek only flows after major storms. During this fun and enlightening event, we will explore our connections to flowing desert creeks and discover ways we - as a community - can help restore them through WMG's River Run Network.

This is an exclusive event for River Run Network members. If you are not yet a member, you can join here or when you sign up for this event, we will add you to the Network! At these events, you'll learn more about how you can take action at home and in your watershed to recharge groundwater and restore our heritage of flowing creeks and rivers.
