BYOB & Plant a Tree: Virtual Workshop

BYOB & Plant a Tree: Virtual Workshop

Sep 7 2021 - 5:30pm
In this virtual workshop, you will learn the fundamental steps to Build Your Own Basin (BYOB) and plant a rain garden. This BYOB workshop is led by Joaquin Murrieta, WMG Cultural Ecologist, and Lauren Monheim, WMG River Run Network Program Manager.  They will guide you step by step on how to build your own basin in your yard to capture rain and plant a native shade tree!

Everyone who participates in this workshop qualifies to receive one of our BYOB kits (with a limit of one kit per household). With your attendance at this workshop, you will need to confirm you want a BYOB Kit, and then you can pick up a BYOB Kit at our Living Lab and Learning Center on the following Thursday or Saturday. If you do not attend this Virtual Workshop, you are not eligible for a BYOB Kit. BYOB Kits are limited to one kit per household, if you received a BYOB Kit in the Spring, you are not eligible for a BYOB Kit this Fall.

Your BYOB Kit includes a native shade tree, wildflower seeds, native shrubs or grasses (if available), organic mulch, and WMG’s first-ever zine with step-by-step instructions on BYOB to get you started. Learn more about BYOB on our website. This event is limited to 50 participants.
