BYOB: We'll bring the plants if you build the basin

In this workshop, you will learn the fundamental steps to Build Your Own Basin (BYOB) and plant a rain garden. This workshop is led by Andrea Salazar, WMG's Community Restoration Project Manager, and they will give you a step by step lesson on how to build your own basin in your yard to capture rain and plant a native shade tree.

 

Everyone who participates in this workshop qualifies to receive one of our BYOB kits, which includes a native tree, shrub, grasses, wildflower seeds, and mulch. With your participation in this workshop, you can take home a BYOB Kit before you leave our Living Lab and Learning Center. 

 

These plants will be in smaller sized pots which only require a space of 1 foot by 1.5 feet to carry, making them relatively bike and bus friendly.
