Community Workshop: Julian Wash Rain Gardens in Barrio Kroeger Lane

Favor Celestial and WMG are teaming up to install rain gardens along a section of the Julian Wash that runs through the south end of the Barrio Kroeger Lane, and still has natural groundcover! Join us Saturday, February 24th from 9:00am - 12:00pm for a morning of shaping basins, planting, and spreading mulch to plant the rain and promote stewardship of our urban natural areas. 

 

Volunteers will learn the basics of how earthworks (basins, berms, and swales) can be used to move water through a landscape and sink water into the ground. Be part of this fun day of water harvesting and community building!
