Cruise The Santa Cruz: River Run Network Bilingual Bike Tour

Get your bike ready to explore Tucson with Joaquin Murrieta, our Cultural Ecologist and staff from Las Milpitas. This area of Tucson is home to an incredible community farm for many to share. We will explore the area surrounding Milpitas on The Loop near the Santa Cruz River where effluent flow is being released to create a luscious habitat for Tucson’s wildlife and community to enjoy.

 

This bike ride will be 2-3 miles round trip, with 2-3 stops along the way. There will be time for resting, snacks and questions. Please bring your own bike and helmet, as well as plenty of water and a snack.

 

This event is organized through WMG’s River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event. RRN membership is free and includes a biweekly email with invitations to creek walks, family education events, river clean-ups, restoration workshops, and advocacy events to help restore our heritage of flowing rivers.

Tour Bilingüe en Bicicleta por Julian Wash con el River Run Network

 

Prepara tu bicicleta para explorar Tucson con Joaquin Murrieta, nuestro Ecologista Cultural y con los amigos de Las Milpitas. Esta área de Tucson es el hogar de una increíble granja-huerto comunitario para que muchos la compartan. Exploraremos el área que rodea a Las Milpitas en The Loop, cerca del Río Santa Cruz, donde se libera el flujo de agua tratada para crear un hábitat productivo para la vida silvestre y la comunidad de Tucson.

 

Este recorrido en bicicleta será de 2-3 millas de ida y vuelta, con 2-3 paradas en el camino. Habrá tiempo para descansar, refrigerios y preguntas. Por favor traiga su propia bicicleta y casco, así como mucha agua y un refrigerio.

 

Este evento está organizado a través del River Run Network de WMG. Si aún no es miembro, lo agregaremos a la Red cuando se registre para este evento.
