Family Earth Day: Día de la Tierra Familiar

Children and adults can explore nature activities about the Sonoran desert and learn how to steward their environment. Enjoy free kids’ activities, rain garden workshops, interactive booths hosted by local partners, live entertainment, and food for purchase.

All ages welcome.

Rain Garden Workshops

Learn to design and build basins to capture rainwater, grow shade trees, and provide habitat for bees, birds, and butterflies at Family Earth Day! After you attend the workshop, you can take home a free rain garden kit which includes a native shade tree, shrub, wildflower seeds and Tank's mulch. Kits are limited, so register today to reserve your kit.

Workshops will be offered at 8:30am, 9:45am, and 11:00am.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

In honor of Earth Day, bring a reusable water bottle to the event to fill it up with rain water. Walking, biking, or taking public transit to get to the event is also encouraged. Everyone who bikes or takes the bus to Family Earth Day wins a prize. One per family, while supplies last.
