National Kids to Parks Day at Homolovi State Park

It's National Kids to Parks Day, so head to Homolovi State Park for a morning of kid-friendly activities! Join a ranger on a guided tour of the Homolovi II Ancestral Hopi Pueblo, complete your Jr. Ranger program packet, and receive your official Rocky the Ringtail badge and become an official Junior Ranger!

 

The tour is an easy one hour stroll around one of Homolovi's most iconic trails. It is believed that these pueblos were once home to ancestors of the present-day Hopi people. Much of the activity took place during the fourteenth century. There continue to be similarities between the architecture, pottery styles, and art motifs of the Hopi people in the north, and the prehistoric inhabitants of Homolovi.
