River Run Network Creek Walk: Tanque Verde and Rillito Confluence

Start your weekend on a Friday sunset creek walk and clean up with WMG founder Lisa Shipek. During this pop-up event we will be hiking alongside Tanque Verde Creek, as well as exploring the floodplain. Learn about the history of this beautiful confluence area, the dynamics of a natural floodplain, and how this area can have more regular flow in the future. We will be walking 2 miles and will be walking back around sunset, so we suggest bringing a headlamp or flashlight. The walk is in sand along the creek, and you may walk through ankle-deep water if desired.

This event is organized through WMG’s River Run Network. If you are not yet a member, we will add you to the Network when you register for this event.
